Antigone Quote

"Antigone: Even so, we have a duty to the dead.
Creon: Not to give equal honour to good and bad.
Antigone: Who knows? In the country of the dead that may be the law."

Question: Antigone implies we know nothing of how things work in 'the country of the dead;' is she right?

  1. In the context of Greek and Roman tragedies, I think that we (the audience) know more than the characters of the play. Antigone & Ismene have no reason to know about Hades and Persephone and the afterlife and etc etc. because why would they? They're just normal mortal girls that have never spoken to gods.
